MemberClicks Alternatives in 2026: 7 Options Compared

Seven alternatives to MemberClicks, compared on how each one charges, what it publishes as a starting price, whether it offers a free trial, and who it suits. MemberClicks starts at $3,500 a year (MC Trade) or $4,500 a year (MC Professional); the options below run from $66 a month for a small Wild Apricot database to quote-only platforms that publish no price at all.

Key takeaways

  • MemberClicks publishes starting prices of $3,500 a year for MC Trade and $4,500 a year for MC Professional. The final price depends on your organization and the features you need.
  • Wild Apricot and YourMembership belong to Momentive Software, the same company that owns MemberClicks. Moving between those three keeps you with the same owner.
  • The alternatives charge in four different ways: by staff user (i4a), by contacts in the database (Wild Apricot), by your organization's revenue (Neon CRM, Novi AMS), or by quote (GrowthZone, MemberLeap, YourMembership).
  • Four of the seven publish a price. Only Wild Apricot publishes a self-serve free trial; i4a sets one up on request.
  • i4a prices by staff user, not by contact count: $99 a month per staff user, with unlimited members, plus a one-time $1,500 setup fee.
  • MemberClicks' typical contract is one year. Check your renewal date before you plan a switch.

We make i4a, and it is on this list. It is listed first because it is ours; the other six follow in alphabetical order. The order is not a ranking. Each entry, ours included, says who the product fits and one thing to check before you buy.

Every price and feature here comes from each vendor's own website on the date shown. Prices and terms last checked: October 8, 2026. We re-check them every quarter. If you represent one of these vendors and something is out of date, tell us and we will correct it.

What are the main alternatives to MemberClicks?

The main alternatives to MemberClicks are i4a, GrowthZone, MemberLeap, Neon CRM, Novi AMS, Wild Apricot and YourMembership. They differ most in what they charge for, which changes the answer to "which is cheaper" as your organization grows. In one line each:

  1. i4a: associations that want unlimited members and a price set by staff size, from $99 a month per staff user.
  2. GrowthZone: associations and chambers that want a quoted package; it also sells MemberSuite and ChamberMaster.
  3. MemberLeap: associations, chapters and clubs that want a month-to-month lease with no long-term contract.
  4. Neon CRM: nonprofits that fundraise as well as run memberships, from $109 a month with the Memberships module.
  5. Novi AMS: associations that keep their books in QuickBooks Online, from $829 a month billed annually.
  6. Wild Apricot: small, volunteer-run groups, from $66 a month for 100 contacts, with a 60-day free trial.
  7. YourMembership: small-staff associations that want a built-in online community, priced by quote.

Why do organizations look for MemberClicks alternatives?

Organizations look for MemberClicks alternatives mostly over price structure, add-ons and ownership. Here is what MemberClicks itself publishes on each, as of October 8, 2026:

  • Starting price. MC Professional, for organizations whose members are individuals, starts at $4,500 a year. MC Trade, for organizations whose members are companies, starts at $3,500 a year. MemberClicks says "pricing is based on organization and functionality needs", so your figure comes from a quote, and the site does not say whether it scales with members, contacts or users.
  • Add-ons. MemberClicks lists Registration Tech, CommUnity, Job Board, Classroom, Member App, Data Insights, Smart Newsletter and Conference App as add-ons. Some are tied to one product: Data Insights, its AI-powered reporting, is "Only on Trade".
  • Contract. "Our typical contracts are for 1 year, but we offer multi-year contracts at a discounted rate."
  • Ownership. MemberClicks is a Momentive Software brand. That matters more than it sounds if you are switching, because two of the best-known alternatives have the same owner.

Are Wild Apricot and YourMembership owned by the same company as MemberClicks?

Yes: Wild Apricot, YourMembership and MemberClicks are all owned by Momentive Software. Momentive's products page lists all three, together with Aptify, Cobalt AMS, NetForum AMS, Nimble AMS and ThreeSixty. YourMembership's site calls it "Part of the Momentive Software family", and Wild Apricot has been part of Personify since 2017, which is now part of Momentive.

None of that makes those products a poor choice. It does mean a move from MemberClicks to Wild Apricot or YourMembership changes the software but keeps the same company on the other side of the contract. If the reason you are leaving is the vendor relationship rather than the product, factor that in.

How do the seven MemberClicks alternatives compare, one by one?

Each entry, from i4a to YourMembership, gives the pricing model and published starting price from the vendor's own site, two or three strengths in the vendor's own terms, and one thing to check. "Not published" means we did not find it on the vendor's pages on October 8, 2026, not that it doesn't exist.

1. i4a

Priced by: staff users who log in · Published price: $99 a month per staff user (Core), plus a one-time $1,500 setup fee · Free trial: on request

Best for associations that want a price set by the size of their staff, not the size of their membership. Members and contacts are unlimited at every tier.

  • No per-member or per-contact fees, so recruiting members does not raise the software bill.
  • The $1,500 setup fee includes 15 hours of onboarding and support for your data import.
  • No platform fee on transactions.

Watch out for: the one-time $1,500 setup fee and an annual contract (billed monthly). For a very small database run by one volunteer, a contact-priced tool can cost less in year one.

For the full head-to-head, see i4a vs MemberClicks, or request a demo.

2. GrowthZone

Priced by: custom quote · Published price: not published · Free trial: not published (demo and product tour)

Best for associations and chambers that want a quoted package from a vendor with three AMS products: GrowthZone AMS, which it describes as "flexible for mid-sized associations", MemberSuite AMS for larger organizations, and ChamberMaster for chambers of commerce.

  • Membership, events, finances and communication in one system.
  • "Assisted data migration, a dedicated project manager, and comprehensive training" on GrowthZone AMS.
  • Mobile apps for staff and for members.

Watch out for: GrowthZone's terms renew plans that are not month-to-month for a year at a time unless either side gives notice at least 30 days before the end, and let it move you to add-on usage packages if you go over your package limits.

3. MemberLeap

Priced by: plan features plus your number of active records · Published price: not published (quote) · Free trial: not published (demo site)

Best for associations, chapters, societies and clubs that want a month-to-month arrangement. MemberLeap says "you are not tied down to any long-term contract", and annual payment earns a discount.

  • More than 60 integrated tools in one system.
  • MemberLeap says it takes no percentage of your payment gateway transactions.
  • A built-in AI assistant.

Watch out for: the standard data conversion takes one file with one tab and up to 50 columns. Wider files, multiple files or unsupported formats cost extra, which matters if you are bringing years of MemberClicks history.

4. Neon CRM (Neon One)

Priced by: your organization's revenue, with unlimited contacts and users · Published price: $109 a month with the Memberships module · Free trial: not published (demo and self-guided tours)

Best for nonprofits that run fundraising and memberships in the same database. Neon One prices the base system at $99 a month and adds 10% for Memberships.

  • Unlimited users and records; price is "based on revenue, not record counts".
  • Live chat, email and phone support included.
  • Handles sub-members or employees under a primary account, which suits organizational memberships.

Watch out for: modules add a percentage of the subscription (Events is another 20%), and Neon One's terms let it raise fees once a year on 30 days' notice. The default first term is 12 months and renews automatically.

5. Novi AMS

Priced by: your organization's annual revenue · Published price: $829 a month billed annually for revenue up to $400,000, plus $3,600 onboarding · Free trial: not published

Best for associations that keep their books in QuickBooks Online. Novi calls itself "Association Management Software for Organizations Using QuickBooks" and publishes six revenue tiers; the top tier, for organizations with $6 million or more in revenue, starts at $3,622 a month.

  • Novi says it is "the only AMS in the QuickBooks Online app store", with a sync that runs around the clock.
  • The entry tier includes a white-label website, an API and single sign-on.

Watch out for: the integration needs QuickBooks Online; Novi says a proper connection isn't possible on QuickBooks Desktop. Its terms set a 12-month first term that renews for a year at a time unless you give notice at least 60 days ahead.

6. Wild Apricot

Priced by: number of contacts in the database · Published price: $66 a month for 100 contacts · Free trial: 60 days, no credit card

Best for small, volunteer-run groups. Momentive, its owner, calls it "budget-friendly membership software for small teams".

  • Every plan includes events, a website builder, an online store, donations and mobile apps for admins and members.
  • No setup, training, per-transaction or cancellation fees.
  • The 60-day trial needs no credit card.

Watch out for: every person in the database counts as a contact, including event attendees, donors and newsletter subscribers, so the price rises with the whole list, not only with members. It is also a Momentive product, like MemberClicks. See i4a vs Wild Apricot for the full price ladder.

7. YourMembership

Priced by: personalized quote · Published price: not published · Free trial: not published (demo)

Best for small-staff associations that want an online community built into the membership system. YourMembership says it was the "first membership management solution to include a modern, built-in online community".

  • Built-in online community.
  • Product enhancements included with the subscription.

Watch out for: no published prices, tiers or trial, so you can't compare cost without a sales call. It is also a Momentive product, like MemberClicks.

How do MemberClicks alternatives compare on pricing model, starting price and free trial?

i4a, Neon CRM, Novi AMS and Wild Apricot publish a starting price; GrowthZone, MemberLeap and YourMembership quote. Prices read on each vendor's site on October 8, 2026:

What does each MemberClicks alternative cost at 250, 1,000 and 5,000 members?

Only Wild Apricot publishes a price that changes with the size of your list. i4a's price depends on staff users, Neon CRM's and Novi AMS's on revenue, and the rest quote. Published prices only, read October 8, 2026:

Published prices for MemberClicks and its alternatives at 250, 1,000 and 5,000 members

Monthly prices on monthly billing unless noted; Novi's are billed annually. Wild Apricot publishes no tier between 500 contacts ($154) and 2,000 contacts ($265), so the 1,000 column shows the 2,000 tier. Wild Apricot counts every contact, not only members, so a 1,000-member organization with event attendees and donors in the database may need a larger tier. i4a adds a one-time $1,500 setup fee; Novi adds $3,600 onboarding at its entry tier.

What should you look for in a MemberClicks alternative?

Whichever platform replaces MemberClicks, look first at five things that are expensive to change later: the pricing unit, the contract term, the add-ons, the migration and the support. Features are easier to compare and easier to fix.

  1. The pricing unit. Ask what makes the price go up: members, contacts, staff users, revenue or modules. Then run your own numbers for today and for three years from now.
  2. The contract term and renewal. Several vendors on this page renew for a year at a time unless you give notice 30 to 60 days ahead. Put the notice date in your calendar on the day you sign.
  3. Add-ons. List the features you use today, such as a job board, learning, a member app or a community, and ask which ones cost extra.
  4. The migration. Ask who runs the import, what a standard migration covers, and what history can be moved at all, and what it costs.
  5. Support. Ask how you reach a person, during which hours, and whether support costs more.

How does switching from MemberClicks work?

Switching from MemberClicks starts with your contract date. MemberClicks says "our typical contracts are for 1 year, but we offer multi-year contracts at a discounted rate", so find your term and renewal date first, then work backward to pick a launch date. Leaving early has a cost: MemberClicks' Terms of Use (effective April 18, 2024, read October 8, 2026) allow early termination "subject to payment of eighty percent (80%) of the remaining charges payable during the then-current Term" on terms of 12 months or longer. This is not legal advice. Check your own contract; terms can differ.

Next, export your data, and finish before the account closes: the same Terms of Use say data for non-active accounts is "permanently purged from the Services and system sixty (60) days after" the service ends. MemberClicks' help center says MC Professional exports download as CSV files from Reporting > Exports, the Transaction Report exports as CSV or IIF, invoices export 50 at a time, and article HTML is copied one article at a time. MC Trade's data grids export each record and field to a CSV file.

On i4a, the one-time $1,500 setup fee includes 15 hours of onboarding and support for your data import: you bring in contacts, current members, and membership types and status from a spreadsheet export, such as MemberClicks' CSV, using i4a's contact import wizard, with the onboarding team guiding you. i4a doesn't bring over financial history, such as past transactions or dues payments. Simple history, such as committee service or past event registrations, can be brought across for a fee outside the setup fee, estimated up front after i4a sees your export, because every system stores history differently. A typical implementation takes 60 to 90 days.

Frequently asked questions about MemberClicks alternatives

Who owns MemberClicks?

MemberClicks is owned by Momentive Software. MemberClicks describes its product as "MemberClicks Professional by Momentive", and Momentive's own products page lists MemberClicks alongside Wild Apricot, YourMembership, Nimble AMS, NetForum AMS, Aptify, Cobalt AMS and ThreeSixty.

How much does MemberClicks cost?

MemberClicks publishes starting prices of $3,500 a year for MC Trade and $4,500 a year for MC Professional, and says pricing is based on organization and functionality needs, so the final figure comes from a quote. Add-ons such as Job Board, Classroom, Member App and Data Insights are listed separately from the core products.

What's a cheaper alternative to MemberClicks?

For a small, volunteer-run group, Wild Apricot is the lowest published price on this page: $66 a month for 100 contacts and $82 a month for 250, with a 60-day free trial. Neon CRM with memberships starts at $109 a month. i4a costs $99 a month per staff user with unlimited members, plus a one-time $1,500 setup fee, so a one-person office pays $1,188 a year in software after setup, against MemberClicks' published starting prices of $3,500 to $4,500 a year.

How hard is it to switch from MemberClicks?

Switching from MemberClicks is mostly a data and timing job. MemberClicks exports member data as CSV files and transactions as CSV or IIF files, and its typical contract runs one year, so plan the move around your renewal date. On i4a, a standard migration is part of the one-time $1,500 setup fee, and a typical implementation takes 60 to 90 days.

Can we leave a MemberClicks contract mid-term?

MemberClicks' Terms of Use let a client end a contract early "subject to payment of eighty percent (80%) of the remaining charges payable during the then-current Term", for terms of 12 months or longer. MemberClicks says its typical contracts are for one year, with multi-year contracts at a discounted rate. Check your own contract, because terms can differ, before you set a launch date with a new vendor.

What should we export before we leave MemberClicks?

Export member profiles, transactions, invoices, form submissions and files before your MemberClicks account closes: MemberClicks' Terms of Use say data for non-active accounts is permanently purged 60 days after the service ends. Its help center says MC Professional exports download as CSV files from Reporting > Exports, the Transaction Report exports as CSV or IIF, invoices export 50 at a time, and article HTML has to be copied one article at a time.
